Version 2.1.13 · Last updated 03 August 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the FAITHBOOK website (myfaithbook.in), the FAITHBOOK Connect mobile application (Android and iOS), and the admin panel (admin.myfaithbook.in) (together, the "Platform"), operated by the entity operating FAITHBOOK ("FAITHBOOK", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.
1.1 Eligibility
The Platform is available only to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. By registering, you represent and warrant that the date of birth you provide is true and accurate and that you meet this minimum age requirement. The Platform does not offer a child-account tier and does not seek or rely on guardian consent. Any account subsequently found to belong to a person under eighteen (18) years of age will be suspended without notice and the associated personal data erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
1.2 Account Registration and Security
You must register using accurate, current, and complete information, including your legal name and a valid method of contact. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. FAITHBOOK verifies member status through the FAITHBOOK Member Verification process described in the Platform; providing false information for the purpose of verification is a breach of these Terms.
1.3 Acceptable Use and Community Conduct
The Platform exists to support a faith-based community of connection, prayer, and spiritual growth. You agree not to:
- post, upload, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory on grounds of religion, caste, gender, or otherwise;
- impersonate any person or entity, including clergy, Platform Administrators, or Diocese/Zone/Parish Administrators;
- upload or create synthetically generated (AI-generated) media without making the required declaration and permanent label, in accordance with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2025;
- solicit, groom, harass, or otherwise endanger any other user, or attempt to circumvent age-assurance or member-verification controls;
- upload, view, store, or forward child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content endangering a minor; doing so is an offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and will be reported to law enforcement;
- use the Platform for unauthorised commercial solicitation, spam, or fundraising outside any feature we expressly enable for that purpose;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Section, in accordance with our moderation processes and the Safety Standards.
1.4 User Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant FAITHBOOK a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform, including the Home Feed, Search & Discovery, and Services & Events features. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent copies are retained under Section 1.8 (Data Retention) or as required by law.
All Platform software, branding, and design — excluding User Content — are owned by FAITHBOOK or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Platform except as expressly permitted.
1.5 Sponsored Content and Advertising
Sponsored placements displayed on the Platform are limited to Catholic institutions approved by a Platform Administrator, are contextual only, and are conspicuously labelled as advertising. We do not run behavioural or targeted advertising directed at users, and in-app ad personalisation is disabled.
1.6 Payments and Donations
As of this version, the Platform does not offer any in-app payment, donation, or fundraising feature. If such a feature is introduced in a future release, it will be processed through Razorpay or another RBI-authorised payment aggregator, will not involve FAITHBOOK storing raw card data, and — where the receiving entity accepts contributions from foreign sources — will be operated only where that entity holds valid registration or prior permission under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. These Terms will be updated with specific payment and refund terms before any such feature is enabled.
1.7 Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, the Safety Standards, or applicable law, or if your account is found to belong to a person under eighteen (18) years of age. You may deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time through Settings. Deletion and permanent deactivation are irreversible and no restoration path is offered; data retained after closure is limited to what Section 1.8 and our Privacy Policy require.
1.8 Data Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, save that FAITHBOOK retains personal data, associated traffic data, and processing logs for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of processing, and such further period as is required for investigation purposes following account cancellation, in each case as prescribed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
1.9 Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FAITHBOOK disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. FAITHBOOK is not responsible for User Content and does not endorse any view expressed by a user.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FAITHBOOK's aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the higher of (a) the amount, if any, paid by you to FAITHBOOK in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten thousand rupees (₹10,000). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian law, including in relation to fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
1.10 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FAITHBOOK, its officers, employees, and Platform/Region/Diocese/Zone/Parish Administrators from and against any claim, loss, or liability arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
1.11 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be referred to the Grievance Officer for resolution in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator appointed by FAITHBOOK, seated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and conducted in English. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
1.12 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email at least fifteen (15) days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1.13 Contact and Grievance Redressal
Questions about these Terms, or grievances regarding content or conduct on the Platform, may be directed to our Grievance Officer via the Contact section of this website. The Grievance Officer acknowledges complaints within twenty-four (24) hours and resolves them within fifteen (15) days, or within seventy-two (72) hours for content-removal requests involving safety or dignity, in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
